Has fruityloops done anything to improve the audio quality of the program? I used it for a year or so and I loved the interface, but it sounded extremely brittle. Even with waves massaging everything I never could get rid of that thin and brittle quality.

fwiw I switched to ableton and it sounded better immediately. I don't love the ableton sound per se, but I can get passable results with it.

"It uses internal 32 bit floating point audio mixing at sampling frequencies of up to 192kHz.

Realtime linear interpolation & sophisticated interpolation algorithms at rendering time."

As long as you have a good sound card you will have good sound.

i use Cubase sx, it is verry users friendly i think, the soundquallity is superb, so i advice you to work with cubase, but it is like any soft, hardware, just try some different programs and use the one that fits you the best.
