Went through 6 or 7 sennheisers, then my girlfriend bought me a technics headphone. And this one has kept up for 5 years now and counting :)

Headphones for DJ'ing or Studio/At home listening?

If for DJ'ing, definitely Technics...any model should do.

Sennheiser for at home/studio.

Even though Sennheiser makes a DJ model, I wouldn't recommend it. Not loud enough at all.

Sennheiser HD25 not loud enough? WOW, never heard that one before. I think it's one of the loudest headphones I've tried...

sennheiser hd25s sound really nice, but the sony mdr-v700s fit better on my gigantic head--especially when I have to use a mixer's "split cue" function in lousy DJ booths.

and i've had the same pair since 2005, nothing broken, blown, or ripped. now that i've said that, tonight will be the night they break. ;)
