Why would you not care about the massive amount of music lovers that site gets? It's like saying you don't care about reaching new fans! Surely the point if you're selling your music or trying to get it signed is that you reach as much people as possible?

because everbody knows that beatport staff decides which releases are featured and which not. if your releases isnt featured you sell sh!t.
you reach more people through illegal download blogs than thru beatport.
the stuff that is featured and the stuff thats in the beatport chart keeps every real music lover away from beatport.

just compare the whatpeopleplay top 100 and the beatport top 100. now tell me where the musiclovers buy.

I always thought the same, but according to Beatport, most clicks comes through 'my beatport', charts and links from facebook/etc. The direct banner clicks comes further down the list...
