Moog overdrive would be the icing. :D
Just bought one of those today! Sounds lovely so far.

I am kind of over the gearlust thing. My studio is all hardware and basic, but it is enough for my needs.

I have come far enough in music to know that I am the limiting factor in my studio. The only real way to advance is to get better at using what I already having instead of chasing after gear to fill some kind of void.

i love equipment. but there are some times when you buy something you've been oggling over for years, only to find out that programming it sucks (TR 707), or that it just doesn't sound at all like what you need (too many guitar pedals to name).

that being said, i really have a passion for soft synthesis. now that computers are fast enough to handle them in real time, and with great complexity, i am a total digiholic.

LADSPA and LV2 blow my mind. the fact that you can route numerical and audio in/outs between eachother on effects/generators is bad ass.

i decided that two cases is more than enough to lug around gigs, and as i need to take my entire studio rig if i want to perform to my best ability, then that has to be the limit.

i'm actually now getting rid of stuff, so that it all fits in the 2 cases.

i also need to take a couple of years to see what i can really do with this stuff.
and on top of all that i'm rebuilding a 300 year old barn to live in.

money has dried up.
