Here's an obtuse approach

You could try this Atari ST emulator... http://users.skynet.be/sky39147/
and then one of the many Atari ST DX editors ... http://tamw.atari-users.net/dx7.htm

I've never seen one of those in person before. It's kinda sweet from what i read of it. I use a TX-81Z all the time which is a 4 operator version of that thing. It has really good low end but in order to get allot of the presence on the low end you have to cut it down to 2 operators then it'll just about keep up with a MiniMoog. The only thing i don't like about the Yamaha FM synths is that they don't have a filter but if you put a good filter after one in a chain that mug is kickin'.

BTW i have the matching sequencer for that box called a QX-5 that's really unique sounding if you're interested.

Nice... i'm just greatful i have a computer sequencer like live... much easier for me to understand atm. Couldn't even imagine working with these in the box sequencers. thank you though!

What filters do you have? i was thinking about picking up moogerfooger. that way i can use it the same time as i run the rogue.
