id be careful about buying an mpc, especially the older ones, looking at op's original post...

one needs to be aware of the limitations of hardware before getting into that..

If you can afford it NI Maschine is awesome. If not FXspansion Geist is pretty damn amazing too.

Get Maschine, it's like an MPC on steroids plus all the benefits of software. I had an MPC5000 and sold it after I realised I was using Maschine so much more. It will change the way you create beats and make the whole process much more enjoyable.

if your using cubase, than why dont you use beat designer as midi insert to battery?

ijust bought the geist over the weekend and so far loving it, its just what i needed. one crazy piece of kit i must say
