and the other argument that the music should be shared already to more djs + producers of the new generations.. .why? are we incapable of making new music, so much we have to keep re-issuing the old. are we so uninspired by the rest of the music out there that we have to go re-issue his stuff. and what about all the djs currently playing his stuff, where do you draw the line. its already out there everywhere from original pressings.

you want something very good, almost historical to be rare and limited to a few people.. and yet you call the other ones who support the spread of this piece of art immoral and selfish??


btw i don't get any of the "this is not the right way, his art should be treated better" stuff.. cause this is an extrodinary good sounding pressing on black vinyl, can't ask for more..

to understand and compare this situation to immanuel kant implies deeper comprehension of kant himself and this discussion.

paper is like all digital medias, it breaks up. Vinyl is more effective (in case we have enough oil, thats another far away discussion). no need of repressing it here. there were pressed enough in the past. Anybody who wants a piece of vinyl: just be patient!

To imply we are acting in kind elitism is just a platitude. We buy also vinyls like you under the same rules with all benefits and drawbacks, but we accept some things.

These re-issues are nothing, spiritless and cheap. Like what the pre posters wrote.

Why they dont repress the "bad ones" of him and only just the hyped ones?

btw. my originals are in excellent shape and condition, no crackles, hisses etc. I doubt if this repress series is so much better.

yes its about the music. You could also ask why spend money and time to vinyls when enough tapes and mixes out there?!

van gogh is a good comparsion but it lacks in one point:

his paintings are single unicums! Does he created more than 1000 pieces of the same painting?

Geminis Music is also an unicum but pressed on a big bunch of vinyls (the output of a release in the mid ninetees was quite higher as 500)

What would all these art critics say when houndreds of repainted van goghs joined the world of art today?
