im looking into buying a new desktop for producing music.

a while ago there was a link posted to a website for custom made audio pc's.. but i can't find it anywhere... does any one knows it. or have different hints

i can't really find a desktop i like in normal shops here in holland. so looking into custom made ones.

Can't say much except this: Asus a8n-vm csm, Amd dualcore 3800 and 2 gigs of kingston ram.

And I'm in heaven. No crashes that were not caused by stupid me in 7 months or so. No issues... basically as good as it gets in heaven.

I might add that this comp was NEVER connected to a network. I installed an XP with sp2 embedded and disabled almost everything (unused ports in the bios and a million services in xp).

Anyway... it's a proven setup and I encourage you to get exactly something that somebody uses and reports as flawless. I got mine in a little shop where they actually get the DAW-building contracts from a huge store... so I was pretty confident.
