Who do you...

Post by ::BLM:: »

.... regard as being 'sh!t hot' when it comes to making dance music?

The two people that always confuse me in ways of production are:

oliver hacke
john tejada

Top marks for the both of them i say :D

Tejada's stuff is really simple, but very well done always. Some of his synth patches make me scratch my head sometimes. His output level is insane though...I don't think I could ever put out that much stuff with that much consistancy.

Other guys who are doing it for me right now:

Dan Berkson
Par Grindvik
Luca Bacchetti
Matthias Tanzmann

Basically anyone who can throw in the housey flavor while maintaining solid techno foundations.

M.Tanzmann is another one, he's a proper badboy when it comes to making tunes. Havent really been too keen on tejada's latest stuff, but a few tracks that i still play now are the following:

Toiling of idle hands - his album
remix on it is was it is from a few years back
his remix for trapez of subject carrier

He also done this great remix on compost, the artist was called rima i do believe.

SCSI9 are another great pair of producers.

Production/technical-wise, you mean?

Well for that matter, I'm not easily impressed.

I think Daft Punk have the most killer "sound"...
