The five tracks on this EP are pacey and frenetic. Doubtingthomas demonstrates his mastery of the micro-rhythm. Complex percussion patterns play off one another throughout. Cheeky basslines weave their ways in and out of cut and paste vocals, bit-crushed samples and speaker-freaking synth stabs.

Opening track, Climate Control is a masterful concoction of ping whirs and growls. An immense sub-bass is counterbalanced by effects-laden percussion and complemented by the gutteral growls of pitched down vocals.

You can hear the same slo-motion man answering the phone at the start of Fast Forward, a track that re-creates, in the funkiest possible way, a BB gun shoot-out in a bone china warehouse.
On a slightly more laid back tip, La Poisse still has a great deal of energy, delivered by the expert precision of the drum programming – a running theme throughout this EP.

Letter For You is another blood pressure-raising, perfectly executed, bombardment of percussion samples. Intense, slightly off-centre, but completely compelling.

Repeat Repeat is a real hidden gem here, with its elastic bassline, exciting arrangement and vast array of percussion samples all gelling together to excellent effect.
