What better way to end the summer then on... Cloud 9 Festival???
A small 500 capacity underground music festival (with camping) overlooking the cloud* in the heart of cheshire's lovely countryside... and all for £20
The main events will be taking place on saturday 19th september starting at 2pm (campsite open at 10am) and will be running untill the early hours of sunday morning (about 3pm but silent disco will go on untill people stop dancing). the fun wont stop there however as camping onsite will run untill monday, With sunday being mainly about acoustic acts, classic tracks and chilled ambient vibes.
The Festival will incorporate two main stages showcasing a wide variety of musical genres from indie rock and roll bands to house, techno and dubstep DJ's... Aswell as various other tents, attractions and artists scattered about around them, not to mention a two channel silent disco for later on in the evening / early morning so no matter what your into, your tastes will be catered for!
For the main tent we have hired this inflatable dome complete with stage and high powered, high quality D&B sound rig with proffessional sound engineers and a lighting system: http://www.dometent.co.uk/index+1.htm
It will showcase the bands during the day and then turn into the main dance arena at night. we will also have an outdoor dance stage (but can be covered if looks like rain) and a smaller marquee next to the bar running through the day and night with various Dj's and acoustic acts playing alternative sets.
Aside from this there will also be the Spoonface clothing tent, a cloud 9 chill and shisha zone, various food stalls serving fresh produce from the farm including a hog roast and an ice cold beverage tent should you need to refresh.
There is a whole host of new and established talent gracing the decks over the course of the weekend from one of Back2Basics youngest residents Burnski to matt tolfrey's leftroom sidekick Marc Ashken and Radio Frequency first lady, Jo Kira. Not to mention a whole host of others from the Ketoloco, Micron and Audiofarm Lads to up and coming dubstepper Heppy J and technique new boy Christian Maiden.
On the Band side of things - "The Lamps expire" have had to pull out for personal reasons but in there place is a very talented up and coming local indie band "The Ritz". who recently supported the likes of Pete Doherty and whose unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics and catchy, hard edged guitar lines have already earned them many fans Also on the bill is Newly signed Stoke Band - "New Education" whose strong drum beats, thrashing guitars and slurry northern vocals have been compared to the likes of Oasis, And of course, Not forgetting local lads who have already hit it big in Europe - "Kill The Young" whose Big Choruses and even bigger riffs leavened with a hefty dose of self-loathing head up the bill.
