What better way to end the summer then on... Cloud 9 Festival???

A small 500 capacity underground music festival (with camping) overlooking the cloud* in the heart of cheshire's lovely countryside... and all for £20

The main events will be taking place on saturday 19th september starting at 2pm (campsite open at 10am) and will be running untill the early hours of sunday morning (about 3pm but silent disco will go on untill people stop dancing). the fun wont stop there however as camping onsite will run untill monday, With sunday being mainly about acoustic acts, classic tracks and chilled ambient vibes.

The Festival will incorporate two main stages showcasing a wide variety of musical genres from indie rock and roll bands to house, techno and dubstep DJ's... Aswell as various other tents, attractions and artists scattered about around them, not to mention a two channel silent disco for later on in the evening / early morning so no matter what your into, your tastes will be catered for!

For the main tent we have hired this inflatable dome complete with stage and high powered, high quality D&B sound rig with proffessional sound engineers and a lighting system: http://www.dometent.co.uk/index+1.htm
It will showcase the bands during the day and then turn into the main dance arena at night. we will also have an outdoor dance stage (but can be covered if looks like rain) and a smaller marquee next to the bar running through the day and night with various Dj's and acoustic acts playing alternative sets.

Aside from this there will also be the Spoonface clothing tent, a cloud 9 chill and shisha zone, various food stalls serving fresh produce from the farm including a hog roast and an ice cold beverage tent should you need to refresh.

There is a whole host of new and established talent gracing the decks over the course of the weekend from one of Back2Basics youngest residents Burnski to matt tolfrey's leftroom sidekick Marc Ashken and Radio Frequency first lady, Jo Kira. Not to mention a whole host of others from the Ketoloco, Micron and Audiofarm Lads to up and coming dubstepper Heppy J and technique new boy Christian Maiden.

On the Band side of things - "The Lamps expire" have had to pull out for personal reasons but in there place is a very talented up and coming local indie band "The Ritz". who recently supported the likes of Pete Doherty and whose unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics and catchy, hard edged guitar lines have already earned them many fans Also on the bill is Newly signed Stoke Band - "New Education" whose strong drum beats, thrashing guitars and slurry northern vocals have been compared to the likes of Oasis, And of course, Not forgetting local lads who have already hit it big in Europe - "Kill The Young" whose Big Choruses and even bigger riffs leavened with a hefty dose of self-loathing head up the bill.

Yo people,

We all ok? less then two weeks now until cloud 9 and tickets are really starting to look pretty scarce. Now I know a lot of people have asked me to save them tickets but am not going to be able too because of the strict licence capacity so please, even friends, if you want to come - get them ASAP!

Opening Times
The campsite will be open from 9am now on the Saturday so everyone’s welcome to come down, pitch up there tent, relax and have a few drinks before the music starts (which will be at 2pm)

Drink
As with the majority of other festivals, people can bring there own drink to the campsite to consume throughout the weekend but not in the main arena. However unlike the majority of other festivals we are trying to keep the prices down and will be at most £2.50 for a Lager or Cider Can, £2.50 for Spirit and Mixer and £2.50 alcopop's

Silent Disco
Also unlike most other smaller festivals we wont be charging for hire of the silent disco headphones but please can people make sure they hand them back in as they are of no use for any other purpose and we get fined for losing any!

Taxi Numbers
A few people have been asking for Taxi numbers for when they get to Congleton Train Station. The deal we have going is with our friendly local taxi firm - Noels Taxis - 07500877659
But should we get a big load off the train in at once Roytax is another - 01260-271380. Its only just over 5 minutes from the station to the festival site

Security / Red Cross First Aid
We have secured the same security / first aid team who run the warehouseproject as we want everyone to enjoy the whole weekend without any worries

RA Group
If you've not already please join the RA group http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?108824

Summary
If you've been to a small festival before you will know when I say the unique, intimate and joyful atmosphere it creates is the perfect opportunity to finish your summer off with a bang, catch up with friends coming back from holidays or seasons abroad and of course - to meet new like minded people, out in the open English air, listening to some music and making some memories.

Good times on Cloud 9!
