Cytomic "The Glue"

Anyone use this? I'm a sucker for tight compression on my main mixes. Curious to get some reviews on this. I downloaded the demo, but haven't set it up yet.

Yeah, i bought this for a special introductory rate after speaking to the dev on KVR. He's a brilliant coder and a great guy to boot. It;s my go-to compressor for the drum buss now. Prefer others for the main mix or other stems.

Definitely "glues" the drums together in a really controlled, smooth way but IMO you can't push it as far as say, Voxengo Marquis, for that really smacked-yet-still punchy sound. Marquis is the only s/w comp I've found that can deliver that particular effect.

nothing comes to real hardware, or UAD or Focusrite!!!!!!

What a well-grounded expertise...

The glue pretty much does what you're looking for without adding too much of an own color to the mix. Good value for money!

Some of us don't have the $1000s it takes to get those pieces of hardware.

Thanks for the responses. As soon as i get this damn track recorded, i'll experiment with it, see if it's something useful to me.
