How do you.........

Post by Torque »

"How do you make a sound that nobody else has made in the history of the universe?"
Why doesn't anybody ever ask that question?
Is experimentation dead?

I think that the more we expriment, the more subtile technics, the more precise are the tools we have...I think the futur in music is going to be all in brain waves playing and affecting your subconscious ...ohhhhh we are all going to be remote controlled ! !

I love to play with sound and get creative. Experimenting is my part of learning curve. I don't have to end up with something particular, but I always find something interesting along the way. My latest experiments like making hats from field recording of rain, making crazy reverb chains, sampling different object hits and filtering different parts of spectrum for some percussive sounds etc etc.

Layer some fx on top of each other, put a field recording though it, resample, cut it up into like 8 parts, put each part sampler on different channel, layer some filters on each channel, run it thought step sequencers... and go on an on and on.......

Come on guys, can you imagine what could King Tubby do if he could get his hands on contemporary hardware or software??? We are lucky enough to live in the times when almost anybody can do music. So be creative ;-)

Don't get me started on MOUSAKA!!!! I could not get enough of it when I was at Crete last summer!!! Omg it was so good....
