Hi all,
I want to buy active monitors to dj at home. I´ve heard about the KRK RP5 G2 Rokit G2 and read several reviews. These monitors apparently work ok and are sound great for the price that it cost
What scares me it´s the possible lack of bass response. Anybody knows if this is true?... I wonder if I better buy the KRK RP6...
And finally, does anybody recommends any other monitors for this budget?
Cheers in advance mates
Guille
KRK Active monitors for home
For this budget, if you'll use the monitors only for djing, you should by only one, the krk V8.
You can find it used, but at good price.
Then if u'll have the money, and if u'll wanna have a studio to produce your tracks, u'll buy the other one and u'll have a couple of really good monitors by my point of view.
Sorry again for my english.

RP5 = 75w ea = $149 ea
RP6 = 100w ea = $199 ea
RP8 = 140w ea = $249 ea
I would save up the extra $200 needed to get a pair of RP8s.
Even though the RP5s are rated down to 53hz and the RP8s to 45hz, you'll want the extra power to drive that bottom end without distorting or overdriving the amp + woofer.
