I have uploaded 2 samples of a sound I have been trying to recreate (unsuccessfully!), and was wondering if you lovely knowledgeable people might be able to help me out. If you listen to the samples below, the sound I am after is the sort of atmospheric muted foghorn kind of sound that sits over the track. I hope you can tell which sound I mean from that description.
