I was thinking of new headphones my self and these are in my 'check' list.

I'll probrably get blasted for saying this, but I found they where way to neutral sounding.No coloring whatsoever . I guess that's what you would want in a headphone,but to me they where boring. I also use headphones for listening pleasure too. You should try them for yourself, you might like them. Many people do.

i've got the 650's which are pretty much the same. i find them very enjoyable, much more than my sony MRD-V700.

To each their own I guess. I had been using some sony 7506's, so maybe that might have done it!!
