i'm getting one soon.

it's got a sub oscillator, which normally means good for bass. it's a new product and it's so cheap you may as well just buy one and see if you like it.

you probably wont until more people buy them and start posting vids on youtube.

Yapacc from Narcotic Syntex works for MFB. so even the synths i want have a perlon connection.

well.. the price is just so cheap, you gotta get one.. 230 euros is nothing for what you get. maybe thinking of getting some of the other MFB gear later, anyone have any experience what they are like?

a sub oscillator isnt the best thing to add for bass unless its a sine-wave osc.

otherwise you cant get that deep subby sound

(you'll get harmonics mixing with the higher octaves and quite often they beat somewhat.)

when using an SH101 for bass, its best not to mix in the sub osc, unless you really want that grungey sound.

when i use my MFB VCO for bass, i simply filter a single square wave and i dont use the sub oscillator.

from what i've heard the sub osc sounds pretty good. sounds smooth and if it's not a sine it's a triangle.

my only thought is the 2 pole (12dB/oct) filter might be a bit thin for my liking. it will be good as a high pass but for low pass i like 4 pole (14dB/oct). i could just add a Korg Monotron for an extra £50 though...
