im 24, have been recording / mixing for almost 5 years now, producing and djing for about 2. i live in Iowa (USA), about 3 hours from Chicago.
i first got into electronic music thru old Chicago house mixtapes that would float down my way and later got into dubstep / funky, minimal house & techno, etc.
i use ableton live 8 / reason 4, a novation launchpad, Mbox 2, and Event TR8 monitors.
