Tutorial: Using 'noise' to create atmosphere with Massive

Post by breakitdown »

Hey guys,

Here is my second tutorial: Using 'noise' to create atmosphere with Massive.

http://www.massivesynth.com/tutorials/n ... tmosphere/

As per my dub techno stab tutorial (also on the blog), i have typed out the settings for how to create the patch and also some suggestions on how to enhance it. Rather than just give away the patch, creating it yourself should open up some doors to making sounds with Massive!

I hope it is off some help to someone.

The first tutorial : Dub Techno synth stab tutorial

would be much butter if it had a video (its not hard) and much better if it wasnt only for massive , isee why youre doing it for massive , but you should do tuts for all people , even when making in massive you could create a patch which could be recreated with almost same settings elsewhere, would be much more useful for much more people!
its all about the rhythm

Hey - thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Actually i think with Massive it would be hard to recreate exactly with other synth because of the modulations (lfo, perf and stepper). However any additive synth you should be able to follow the same instructions :)

The only reason i chose Massive is it's the only synth i use!

I take the point on video - actually i think it's easier to have it all written down rather than stop starting a video... but thanks for the advice, and perhaps i'll do one with video next. Not sure people will understand my Scottish accent though
