i tried last night to get one going on my pc and couldn't do it... gonna try for mac tonight.
it seems that there is a bunch of these out for atari800, atariST, commadore, apple II.
Each probably sound different... and probably even different in the emulator.

meh.. couldn't get SAM to work on the 800 emulator. too complicated for me... but did get some games of ghost encounters and action quest in.
