Hi Guys,
Anyone know exactly how the bassline sound has been created on both the original and edit?

My personal guesses are either a layered sine wave on a subtractive synth or, which I have tried - is using a deep kick drum sample and putting into a sampler (simpler on ableton) and increasing the attack time to remove the first few mili seconds. I know that's an increasingly common technique. Do you ideally need a rich sound/transient kick to produce good results with that?
Generally I really like the bass tone, it's really housey and body shaking. How to acheive it? Does the musically content create the aforementioned attributes?
Anyhow, can't quite seem to get it nor know exactly what's being done? Please let me know if you have a good idea?

The 'No Worries' bassline sound

There is never a way to know how it was done EXECTLY.
its all small decisions when processing and the different gear used to make and process the sound.
that said, sound to me like a typical square/saw with very closed filter and fast decay modulating the cutoff.
just because its fat doesnt mean it has sine with it. could be just simple eqing (or higher resonance than usual).

Can I just say, on the whole, what a waste of time and input this question was, based on the response. Apart from 1 member 'Stomper', who I thank, none here took this seriously. No wonder people don't post on forums and I'm unlikely to come back to this one. The reason I came and posted here, was to ask for help and advice to a specific production issue. I wish, if people weren't interested in helping, they would just jog on - instead they can't resist the urge just to open there mouth and let the first thing fall out that comes to they mind.
If anyone has got any tips on better forums for music production for house, tech house, techno, minimal then please let us know.

Actually Casanova has given the best and the most accurate answer to your question.
If you had had listened to the music he linked you would have heard the samples butch took to create this track.
On a whole Casanova gave another valuable tip, namely that patience is important. (listening to the song from the beginning till the end would have given you probably much insight, if you would have absorbed and interpreted the given information more productively)
Most is in the eye of the beholder right?
Anyway I hope you don't read my post as an attack, but more as an alternative point of view on the present situation.
