How do you go about an unofficial vinyl release?

How do those bootleg white labels such as the Einfach 003 (Samples Riders On The Storm and was done by Reboot)

manage to get to the pressing plants and in the shops without problems?

They are some pressing plants that do bootlegs (and don't care about the mechanical royalty), costs a bit extra though.

simple: "the confirmation from the copyright company is in the mail". And they start pressing anyway, no one gives a sh!t anymore. Btw, 9/10 artists aren't even registered with any copyright controlling agency such as Gema or Sabam or Sagem etc, so why would you have to pay to get your own music copied for your own release? It just doesn't make any sense.

And it doesn't make sense either with registered artists: you have to pay 150 euro or more to copy the music of your artist, which means you cannot make breakeven on small runs (-300 copies). And from that money, your artist gets back 50% more or less. The rest gets lost in the hands of the various copyright controllers for "adminstration". Completely idiotic.

Well, you can say that this makes sure the artist actually gets some money from the vinyl release.
But I agree, it's a lot of money for the label on small runs.
You don't pay when you're releasing yourself (except for the 30 Euro administration fee).
