Best way to alter tempo already mixed down track.

Post by acos1 »

Any help on this would be appreciated. I've came back to a track i made years ago and love it but want to slow it down 6 bpm or so. I can't do it in my DAW (Cubase just if your wondering) for various reasons. I have got rid of certain equipment etc. I was thinking time warp it in Ableton or play it through traktor at a slower tempo with pitch correct etc and record it? What would you think would get the smoothes results? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

send me the track and i'll do it in Record. the timestretch sounds a lot better than Live.

Use the pitch warpmode in ableton and slower it 6 bpm.
i won't recommend timestretching

not in pitch mode tone-def. Then you're just slowing down the track. I know it's called a warp feature but think of it.

Yeah but if you stretch too much sound grainy?
