Here's something else I've seen that's new, the Nord Drum: http://www.norddrum.com/
No details as yet but it looks like a 4 part drum synth using V/A technology. From the picture there doesn't seem to be a sequencer of any kind so my initial reaction is, where's its selling point?
The Nord Drum page is launched tomorrow, so I guess all will be revealed then. I read that it's £399 btw.

Re: Nord Drum
Too bad it only has 1 output. Makes it less than ideal for the studio.
I'm kinda interested, especially if it does NOT sound like a clone of something.

Re: Nord Drum
The trigger inputs make me think its more a drummers module....
Re: Nord Drum
Vermona stuff has trigger buttons and so does the mopho. neither of those are drummer modules but that doesn't mean drummers can't use them.
Re: Nord Drum
Not trigger buttons, trigger inputs as in Alesis DM range. I think nord used to do a digital drum kit.
I'm not saying it's only for drummers, but it might explain the single output.

Re: Nord Drum
oh yeah
i really don't understand why they aren't outputs instead. it would actually make it useful. they really fucked things up with the mono output. what were they thinking?

Looks like it, the page is live now.lem wrote:The trigger inputs make me think its more a drummers module....
Re: Nord Drum
if you were to get a drum machine like this, i would get an octopad. small enough for a studio, has inputs for external pads, and you can even import your own samples.
the nord drum does look pretty cool though but looks like more of an add on to drummers looking to increase the size of their kits.
