You Ableton guys see this thing? Looks kinda cool, but at $650, don't know if it's that cool. Maybe it is though, I've never used Ableton. Any thoughts?

Re: Ableton Push
looks cool, but not sure how well it's going to sell due to so many people already having an APC40 and other ableton controllers at a MUCH cheaper price.
The one thing that did peak my interest was the Step Sequencer. You can setup your APC40 to do this, but it's a pain.

Re: Ableton Push
This things seems to do so much more than Launchpad or APC, which are more for playback than creation. Seems promising but the price is ridiculous. Being able to set scales is, well, about time they do that crap.
Re: Ableton Push
it looks better than maschine. if i was an Ableton user i'd be excited.
Re: Ableton Push
and finally session view automation
Re: Ableton Push
Session view automation is already possible, you just need to look into IAC bussing. I have been doing it for ages.
Step sequencing and scales are also natively possible.
I havent checked the link, but i hate all this $$$ controller stuff. Each controller in my live setup is about £100 and i configure it myself but end up with something completely unique.
Max for live and a bit of time is certainly worth the hassle! but everything mentioned in this thread natively possible.

Re: Ableton Push
I have just checked the link, the price includes an upgrade to Ableton Live Suite 9. Which would normally cost about £250... doesn't make it such a bad deal. I want some info on Live 9 tho.. I'm still learning 8!
