pah, neanderthals were most likely the combination of the ape which became hominids and gorillas/other great apes..
neanderthals had great dgenetic diversity which would indicate they could have interbred with 'us' and other great apes initially, making them somewhat of a mule race, which would also explain a reason why they faiuled to survive...
but I don't really like getting into these kind of debates, they give creationist theories too much credence, as if theres another side to teh argument...

Man, I hope you were being sarcastic!! If not, then don't even bother reading anything else on here.. Just keep building that brick wall of ignorance called church.. If you think the evidence lies in the fact that monkey's aren't people yet, you're even more of an idiot. That sort of thing doesn't happen during the course of a few thousand years..
