All the way from Montevideo, Uruguay we bring you FERNANDO ZAPICO aka Z@P for our sixth instalment on Immigrant Digital. Still considered a newcomer to the global techno scene at age 21, Z@p’s trademark bass heavy sound has matured quickly with releases with online labels OUZO, GRHK and an appearance on the Flight-18 Miami Immigrant Compilation. Joining him on remix duties is fellow GRHK cohort, Matias Muten. Spanish for a children’s magic marker, “Plumonito” is going to leave its colourful mark on the industry as predicated.

“Plumonito” The EP’s lead track is a groovy concoction of rhythmic drum patterns, driving bass, delayed synth work and alien reverberated sound effects. Carefully avoiding the ‘minimal’ or ‘house’ branding, Pluminto is a peak time jam.

“ Plumonito (Matias Muten Remix)” GRHK team mate Matias Muten pitches down the original to create a darker after-hours affair. Altogether more minimal in approach but no less effective, Matias brings the fear into the early hours. Scary indeed!

“Eso Eso” Dance floor business once again as Z@p puts the ‘freak’ back in to ‘peak!’ This is a sub bass monster that awkwardly twists and turns but somehow rasps it’s way it a hypnotic groove. That, THAT, they scream, Eso ESOOOO!!

“Orange Influence” A whole heap of low end introduces the fourth and most hypnotic track of the EP, a great transition track for DJs moving into tougher and groovier dance floor territories. A dance floor filler for sure, especially with the ladies.

“Disonancias Jugosa” Starting out with an intense bass line pattern, the track creeps and crawls into disturbing darkness, with trippy vocals and freaked out sounds for the strong willed among us.

TIM XAVIER (Clink, Klikhaus)
Like it, full support.

JORGE SAVORETTI (Igloo, Esperanza, Telegraph)
Eso Eso is the one for me, Love the bubbly bassline and freaky arrangement.

[A]PENDICS SHUFFLE
Dome nice sounds! My favorites are Disonancias Jugosas and Plumonito -- Matias Muten Remix, Thanks!

PHEEK (ARCHIPEL, MINUS)
Disonancias Jugosas is the best mix out of all of them, nice bass and low end. Cool effects, should work the dance floor well enough!

PSYTOX (COINCIDENCE RECORDS)
Great release (again) for Immigrant. Typical Nando style on this EP, my preference goes to "Disonancias Jugosas", funky dark stuff that rocks the belgian dancefloor very well :)

BUTANE (ALPHA HOUSE)
First two tracks are absolute fire. Thanks guys.
