i have read the whole canonical foundation series, robot series, and empire series by isaac asimov, many years ago. lately i've been rebuying/downloading these books are rereading them. a really great one i rediscovered was "The Naked Sun", which takes place on an outter world known as Solaria. Solaria was a planet where it's inhabitants strictly controlled their population to be 12,000, each citizen lives in a huge 30 miles by 30 mile estate which is kept by 10,000+ robots. everyone lives alone in their mammoth sized aristocratic mansions, and the thought of being in apersons physical presence disgusts and frightens the Solarians, as they are raised by robots, alone, and taught that physical and social intimacy is taboo.

isaac asimovs book seems to be good too
