I don't end up using it a lot, but the loops were developed and mixed down in like 1997 and are based on a very classic Detroit sound, which I love.
I derive inspiration from time to time just listening to the loops and snippets on that disc.
One of the only techno sample pack worthy of the name, I'd say.
As you say, the reason is that it was made a) when producing sample packs required a studio, genuine time and expertise and b) before everyone and his dog started jumping on both the genre and the sample pack bangwagon.
