Thanks for the info Phurniture, I will read it shortly.

You all have a point, as there is no obvious reason why one would need such high settings. However, I thought that it was a bit silly to lower quality of samples which have higher frequencies. Nevertheless, I understand your point of view.

Anyone has a tip on what the ideal setting would be? I can't go above 88K, 32 bit as that requires too much space. Should I change the bit depth than? Thank again.

without being a crazy expert or something, I would say that 24bit is fine :)

I stick with 44.1 @ 24 bits as well. Sounds like this is pretty well a standard with mastering houses and my hard drive and CPU don't take such a massive hit!
