Production Hardware

Post by andy663 »

Really starting to get into production recently. I produce with logic and the only piece of hardware I have is the apc40 (which I use to DJ in ableton).

Im getting a little bored of using the mouse to do everything and am looking into getting some external gear. I've looked at MPD's, PadKontrol, Maschine and am really unsure what to go for! Anyone have any advice?

Also is it possible for me to control Logic's Ultrabeat with the pads on the apc40 in the meantime?

Thanks

seeing as you're ITB and still starting, i'd recommend grabbing Maschine.
Best HardSoft i've found yet. Makes making music very fun again.

I own this also. I bought it for the assignable knobs, but I rarely use them. I use it to play the keys though, which I only programmed before. So, it's nice to be able to bang out chords on the fly. The drum pads are proper too.

I wish I would have bought the bigger one though. Two octaves is not enough for me now.
