Using Send/Return on a DJM600 to connect a DD-6 or DD-7

Post by yeswehavetheright »

Has anybody used the send/returns on a DJM600 (or similar) mixer?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a delay, but I'm not sure how it will work with the send/returns on the DJM. As far as I can tell, when you switch on "send" the whole channel gets sent to the fx unit - so the output you hear on that channel is what comes back from the fx. There's no way to mix wet/dry signal except on the fx unit itself. I'm concerned that rather than being able to bring small ammounts of effect into a mix, I'm going to end up suddenly sending one channel to the fx and abruptly changing the sound.

Can anyone shed some light onto this for me please?
Many thanks for looking!!!!

I've connected a dd-6 to the DJM800 before and it works fine - the delay pedal itself has a volume (wet/dry) knob which allows you to effect as much of the signal as you choose. You need not worry.
