Anyone get any good use out of the synth or rack version
what are the opinions of those who've used it

There is no reason why you couldn't make a record with one of these if you were sufficiently motivated. They are still cheap, give it a shot.

i had a dw6000 few years ago..and it was pretty good for pads and chords..and in unisonmode it was fat for leads and somewhat trancey basses.

but i sold it because the dw6000 didn´t have velocity or aftertouch but those are in dw8000 so..

I remember playing one of these some 10-15 yrs ago and absolutely loving it. I wanted one ever since and would pick one up if I saw one for cheap.

That said, I am basing my 'wow' factor on what was available back then in terms of what I tried and what I didn't. Whether it would be a disappointment for me know I don't know.
