Voice effects

Post by loulou »

Hi there!

I just bought a mic, and i want to try the pitch effect that we see on a lot of tracks.

How do you pitch the voice of a vocal, so that you're still able to hear what he's actually saying, and still make en deep and evil :P

Im not gonna copy, just want to try it out!

Peace!

What we did is let the main vocal clean and put a send on it where the pitchshifter is doing his job. We used the vocal transformer of logic, but you can probably can get the same job done with other shifters/stretchers!

put some extra gain in the 4000 hz and a bit in the 10000 hz range...

it won't change the formant. you only add hz's of the already define sound. it'll sound more lowend, but you won't get any barry white experiences

i think u don't understand, or i read it the wrong way. Tho 1 thing for sure is that an EQ can't pitchshift something by dips and/or boosts
