A Berlin native Stefan Metzger has been the subject of endless rumor
because of his intense underground nature and the influence he has had
on Techno around the world. With releases being played by the most
influential artist in the world including Sven Vaeth, Troy Pierce,
Ricardo Villalobos and with a recent appearance on Richie Hawtin's DE9:
Transitions Metzger has been helping to lay the sonic groundwork for the
mnml revolution sweeping Europe while maintaining his underground
status.
The sound of the Sleep Archive is reminiscent of Plastikman's sparsest
moments. But the rhetoric behind his work evokes a moment where faceless
Techno bollox was something to be prized, strived for. When the palette
expands beyond the current clear, black, and blue, the boundaries will
be pushed and we are proud to show you the edge.
