My solution for thick, splashy claps was this:

In Battery, I layered several medium-sized audience applause samples with a few clappers being close to the mic. I found the samples on Freesound.

Loaded them, selected all, mapped them to the same key(c1), randomized (with the lfo) the start point, hard panned some, kept some in the middle, compression.

The result is excellent... all hits sound different and natural. And it is all very flexible from a mixing standpoint... you will, with the right tweaks, get to something that naturally stands out without having to sacrifice something else in the mix.
Just remember to select all the cells to tweak the amplitude envelope... and other parameters if you need to... Here you go (samples and patch file):

Ideal for disco. :D

As far as I understood, they were standing out too much (?) no?
(peaking out too much - which I do know as a problem sometimes)
Maybe I got his "problem" wrong. If so, nevermind..

Your suggestion was good in general (as I said)

No need to get angry.

That's true, if talking nicely to other people in general is being 'diplomat'.

Diplomats are assholes that talk nicely.

Lots of those around here.

Now it's off topic.
