Yep you're right, but then i would probably have a bookshelf of those "all you need for techno/minimal/house/polka/klezmer/whatever" cd's, instead of my beloved outboard gear with some nice knobs to tinker with. It's a choice of preference i think.
from my experience the math has the same bent possibilities as the other 2 of this trio - they're using the same soundchip.
