Creating chords like DeepChord?

Post by Théories »

Hi folks,

i have tried for quite a long time now to create the same chords deepchord uses in their songs, but failed every time. And yes i have searched google but i didn't find any answers...

So! i was thinking if you guys could help me out a bit? i use Ableton live 8.

Thanks!

I'm guessing filter modulation and some good work on the envelope. Also try LP filter really low and then some resonance.

In the good part of ableton.

honestly... learning to program those synths in live is really daunting... i would suggest trying to do this sound with VST or Reason.

But yeh... its all about the LP with some ADSR on it. reverb and maybe ifn a filter on top...

Seriously though if you ever find out let me know...

Although he isnt Deepchord, this interview with Moritz von Oswald is worth a watch.

Carbon in Reaktor is capable of these chords. It's a matter of having several oscillators slightly detuned, and further detuning them in an envelope.
