friday 12/16/05
Oliver was in Brooklyn not too long ago and I heard he almost took the roof off of the Wolf&Lamb afterhours. Definately not missing this one! Gonna be a great way to start the holidays!

Oliver Hacke (Traum, Trapez | Dusseldorf)
Deadbeat (~scape | Montreal)
Jordan Dare (Montreal)
M.A.N.D.Y. run the super-hot Get Physical label in Berlin with DJ
T and Booka Shade. Thier "Body Language" mix CD, released on Get
Physical earlier this year, has made them some of the most sought
after electro-house DJs in the world. They have been a leading
force in dance music the past couple years, with records in
virtually every DJ's bag.

Oliver Hacke is a rising star in the international techno
community. He released his debut album, "Subject Carrior", on
Trapez last year to much critical acclaim. His tracks have been
included on mixes by Superpitcher, Thomas Brinkmann, Triple R,
and Wighnomy Brothers. He has released many incredible 12"s on
Trapez, including the incredible "Der Vampir Von Dusseldorf", one
of the most sought after Trapez Limited releases to date. He is a
favorite of all of us here at the Bunker, so you hear his tracks
grace our dancefloor quite often. Those of you who made it to his
DJ set at Wolf+Lamb earlier this year know that he is a
formidable DJ with great taste and mixing skills.

All three Deadbeat full lengths on ~scape have been spun many
times in the early evening at the Bunker, and they usually bring
the trainspotters running up to find out what the hell it is.
Scott Monteith (aka Deadbeat) makes impossibly deep digital dub
that somehow avoids all of the dub cliches and puts a fresh spin
on the decades-old genre. As amazing as the albums are, you
really have to see the live set to fully appreciate the sound.
