meaning no you have not, or a first impresion?

looks kind of cheesy at first but it sends midi, velocity sensitive strings and fretboard looks nice - just missing pitch bend on the strings

looks more like a guitarhero controller than a to be taken serious tool. i have seen nice vintage guitarsynthesizers, but never a serious guitar based midi tool.

In the 70's David Vorhaus (whitenoise/bbc radiophonic workshop) invented a controller called the Kaleidophon; a string like controller that uses ribbon controllers instead of strings. Its more like a double bass than a guitar i guess but sounds very expressive.
The Kaleidophon demo is about half way through the following clip but the rest is also interesting

Haven't MIDI guitars been around for a while now?

I know my father still uses a hybrid guitar (you can use it as a midi controller or just guitar)... I think Line-6 also has a MIDI guitar, but I'm not sure.

The guitar my father uses has been around for a few years now (probably > 10 years) and even that one sends pitchbend data.

Why would a guitar player go for a separate MIDI controller that tries to look and feel like a guitar, when you can have a real guitar with MIDI capabilities
