Logic Pro Help

Post by ms500 »

For some reason my Logic program has decided to start randomly soloing the selected track. It is very frustrating and I can't work out why it is happening. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

I am running Logic Pro 8 on a Mac pro with an Allen and Heath Zed r16 as the interface and an mpk 49 as a MIDI controller. I think it could be something to do with the mpk because it tends to do weird stuff every now and again.

My little Novation Nocturn does odd stuff like that as well.

Last night it was automating the Rectangle Fader in the ESP. I had to give up using it in the end.

Only thing I'd say, is just make sure that you didnt accidently write in solo automation while in "Latch" mode.. and make sure to put it to "Read" when you've finished whatever your doing.

The Nocturn sends some crazy 16th Midi out sometimes. Its mad sometimes, like an Arp. I've made some interesting FX (by mistake) with it.

Theres probably a way around it, but it hasnt really hindered me too much - so far! :D

Try Trashing the Preferences of the MPK 49? Someonelikeyou.

have you tried unplugging the MPK to see if that helps?
if the problem continues you will know it's not the MPK.
