4 oddly named tracks of warmth and beauty that bear the typical Farben trademark sound. Teaming up with The Presets, Jan Jelinek's subtle smokey emissions once again take a diversion, edging the plunderphonic rhythm inventions of the likes of Matthew Herbert and Atom Heart one step further. Dripping with the funk, "Sampling Matters" is another glitterball sparkle of foot shuffling 4/4 spaces, echoed clicks, backward snaps and even a foot stomping vibe, complete with Thomas Meinecke's kindergarten vocals.
it's clearly obvious that mr jelinek aka farben is heavy influenced by funk on this record.
i had some expectations for this EP...well atleast to be in the vein of other farben releases, but it's not...it's a bit mature than the rest of em.
