i'm a mac user and the only problems i've had is death. i've had 2 G5 imacs, one died after 4.5 years and the other died on monday at 5.5 years old.

This is why I am only going for budget computers now. I have spent so much on 'future proof' computers only to have them die after a few years.
The thing is, my best projects never even get close to maxing out the CPU.
I now own a 2.4ghz Mac mini and I will never go back to £1000+ computers.

don't get me wrong, i'm really impressed they lasted so long. but now with multicore processors you don't need to spend thousands anymore. i'll probably go with the entry level imac or mini next. the problem with mac is the budget laptop hasn't got firewire.
