A Guy Called Gerald play live with two laptops with reason and a DJ mixer.

I don't know how it exactly works, but i assume he's syncing the two laptops via midi and then has a channel on the DJ mixer for each laptop output. This and intelligent use of combinators in Reason should get you somewhere.

try to find a used Korg Electribe EMX1 and start jamming :D i think for a start from scratch, a groovebox is superior to software. It will give you frame to work in, instead of infinite possibilities to get lost in. also you just plug in your headphones, power it on and start making music. Of course...

With the offset function you can create changes and variations. I don't have too much experience with the MD....so what is exactly the offset function? I tried to search it on the web but nothing... It's described in the Users Manual on page 54. It lets you change the patterns length and define fro...

As soon as I start to work with a PC i get office flashbacks  about pattern length: You can chain patterns to...

change, diversion, variety. Do not listen to techno and house exclusivly. For me it's dance music for the club. I rarely listen to it at home or work or even in the car. I think I would go crazy if I listened to electronic dance music 24/7. Get in some ambient, jazz, blues, rock, pop. And when you c...

i wonder what you guys think about this: IMO using presets or not is connected to using software or hardware. When using soft synths i will automaticly start so browse presets after a while. Mostly because it is just too frustrating to operate a synth with a mouse. I also use a Korg Kontrol midi con...
